This is an individual, original, one-off piece of artwork by myself, of 1970’s and 80’s British World Champion Grand Prix motorcycle road race icon Barry Sheene in action.
A little background to my art; pyrography dates back to the 17th century, and literally means "writing with fire", from the Greek pur (fire) and graphos (writing) and is achieved by hand using a special electrically heated pen.
This original, framed piece of 12” x 10” artwork has been burnt into the birch ply totally by hand, taking in excess of 7 hours to complete. The finished work was then twice coated with Danish Oil to protect it, and then framed without glass to allow the artwork to “breathe”.
The narrow frame is black, and has a bracket on the reverse for wall mounting.
