Zdenek Kudrna "Kermit"

Hand cut scroll saw portrait of former Birmingham Brummies, Exeter Falcons and Czechoslovak speedway rider, Zdenek Kudrna who reached the World Individual Final in 1979. He was nicknamed "Kermit" whilst riding for Birmingham due to the colour of his leathers.
 
The picture was created from 4mm ply, the pieces being cut, some painted and then mounted onto a black backing sheet. The wood has been treated with Danish Oil to bring out the grain detail and colour, and is approx. (350 x 270mm).
